Hi folks,
Welcome to Ron's Ballet Site. This site is devoted to all aspects of ballet. However, my personal interest is in romantic and classical ballet so there won't be much on modern dance. The site is under development and visitors are invited to submit requests,
comments, criticism, and suggestions. You can email me by clicking on the Send email link at the bottom of this page.
Because of various commitments, the development of the site has proceeded rather slowly and one section that's suffered is that on dance education. A particular interest of mine is distance-learning and some aspects of dance, such as history and choreology, lend themselves to this mode of instruction. If anyone has information on distance-learning dance-related courses, provided by recognised institutions, I'll be happy to include it.
If you're interested in distance learning in general, you might care to visit The Education Site. On that site, I've provided information to help you select the most appropriate colleges, programs, and courses and avoid the many scams that target potential distance-learning students.
Returning to this site: to help you obtain information on ballet, I've included two particular features. One is the Ballet Links Page that includes links to some of the best dance sites, and
other information sources, on the World Wide Web. The other is a search engine, accessed from this page, with which you can locate information sources on almost any subject, just by entering a keyword, phrase, title, etc. I hope you will find these useful.
Alta-Vista
Alta-Vista is probably the most comprehensive of the search engines, enabling you to search the World Wide Web and Usenet for information on any subject.
You can search Alta-Vista direct from this page, so why not try?
